I spent a ridiculous amount of time on this one doing all the borders and motifs that were then turned into textures. This is something of an exploration of the more natural egyptian styles of ornamentation as opposed to the more commonly used religious forms. It was an interesting exercise and I think the results are pleasing. Hope you enjoy it.
I think you've done an excellent job putting those motifs into this scene. It has a very pleasing composition overall too. The colours balance nicely and I really like that pool Great work!
Thank you very much. I thought it turned out well too, but it didn't garner much response at all, so I really appreciate yours. Also it is great to see you posting again.

I've enjoyed my little commenting spree It turns out I had a few hours to kill and a computer connected to the internet, so why not? Only downside is the terrible colours and graininess of the monitor which would normally put me off commenting (they certainly make most pictures look worse - I could tell by looking at my own photos and comparing them to how they should look!) but I knew I probably wouldn't get another opportunity like this for some time so I'd better make the most of it. It helped that I was in the mood to procrastinate
Yea, bad colors and graniness will definitely put a damper on the enjoyment factor, but something is better than nothing. I appreciate that you chose to include my stuff in your spree. You mean procrastination is just a mood? I thought it was a way of life.

Mmm, I know that nothing will look as good as it could, but it's a compromise I'll have to make just now. It certainly does mean that the wow factor will be lacking, simply because subtle colour variations and combinations are often what really appeal to me in pictures. I may well come back and look at some pictures on a better monitor later, but in terms of commenting I needed to have a good chunk of time. Actually, tonight I pretty much focussed solely on yours. I'd cleaned out my watchbox (way out of control after being neglected for 2 months!) a couple of nights ago and knew that I owed you some comments as well. I enjoyed catching up on what you've been up to. You've been busy!
